Carolyn Havens Niemann, M.S.N, C.N.M.

BIO

Carolyn Havens Niemann CNM, MSN, earned a BA degree from Princeton University in 1989 and a Master's Degree in Nurse-Midwifery from University of California, San Francisco in 1994. Following graduation, she joined the National Health Service Corps and served as a nurse-midwife at New York's Harlem Hospital. She then spent nearly five years at the Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center, a freestanding birth center in Manhattan. She comes to us most recently from Ventura County, California where she worked in private practice and precepted students at California State University. She has also served as a clinical instructor for students at Columbia University, New York University and SUNY Downstate's midwifery programs. Carolyn is the mother of three sons, all of whom were born with midwives.
