A native of New Jersey, Dr. Derman is one the Princeton area's leading fertility specialists. After attending Rutgers University, he went on to attend medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. During his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in New York, he developed an interest in reproduction and hormonal disorders. He went on to complete a 3 year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Maryland, where he received advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, birth defects of the reproductive tract, polycystic ovarian syndrome and endometriosis. Dr. Derman has published and lectured extensively on various topics in reproductive medicine. The doctor is strong believer that both compassion and clinical excellence are important in caring for infertile couples. He is also a certified mohel, and a pioneer in bringing in accurate infertility information to the web.
