claims to all third party payers for all patients who receive care from
Delaware Valley OBGYN and Infertility Group, PC medical providers
Essential Functions:
Posts charges and payments
in PerfectCare electronic billing software
Corrects claim rejections
on a daily basis
Pre-certies and verifies new
OBs
Answers all doctors calls
and record to be posted
Calls on patient A/R as well
as insurance A/R
May need to assist in the
collection of past due accounts by following up with insurance companies
to learn the status of the claims
May also submit appeal on
denied claims as required
Verifies patient’s medical
coverage if patient does not have proof of insurance
Receives telephone calls,
patients and visitors to the billing office
Answers the telephone in a
friendly, professional and efficient manner within established guidelines
Responds knowledgeably to
inquires from patients or insurance companies regarding covered charges
and billing questions
Operates fax machine, copier
and all other relevant office equipment
Assists in the orientation
and training of new clerical staff
Makes suggestions for improvement
of billing and any other office function
